Welcome To Cristen D. Whitmer DDS

We are a leading, family-owned institution offering a comprehensive Certified Dental Assisting program. Our program provides hands-on training, engaging lectures, and valuable lab sessions to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the dental industry. We also introduce our students to advanced dental technologies to best prepare them for the future of dentistry, such as laser dentistry, 3D printing, CBCT imaging, and sleep apnea treatment. And our placement assistance services aim to match graduates with job opportunities once they have completed the program.

Students that graduate from Coastal Academy for Dental Careers will:
1) receive a Certificate of Completion upon successfully completing the program, practical exams, externship, and final exams
2) receive a certification in CPR/Basic Life Support
3) be eligible to qualify as a Certified Dental Assistant (Unlicensed Dental Assistant), in the state of California, after completing additional requirements by the Dental Board of California. In coordination with the Santa Barbara Ventura County Dental Society, we provide the opportunity to complete this required coursework for Radiation Safety certification and Infection Control/Dental Practice Act within the timeline of the program.
