My latest appointment to get my teeth cleaned went very well!! I saw the new hygienist Sarah …. She is sweet, thourough & very gentle. Gina is there to welcome you, with a beautiful smile & warm manner. I only got to say hello to Brooke, since she was a very busy young lady yesterday ! I’m so happy with my treatment at Dr. Whitmer’s office, the drive is worth it from Ventura! I wouldn’t leave Her office even if I found a dentist at half the cost ( doubtful, as Dr. Whitmer’s rates are very affordable).I’m content here, and plan on staying for the long term!! Very well done appointment with 2 fillings. Very little pain with the numbing and nothing after that. Even after the numbness wore off there was no soreness. It was also really great to get a call at the end of the day checking in to make sure everything was okay.

Every time I go to Dr. Whitmer I leave more pleased with my choice with her for my dental care! To say a trip to the dentist is pleasant, may seem strange to some, but, that’s exactly what it is! Your greeted like a friend by Gina when you enter. Dr. Whitmer will come out to the waiting room,as soon as she has a chance, to say hello and assure you that she will be right with you. The feeling and atmosphere is like going to a friends home. I always feel welcome, like they’ve been waiting all day, just for me to get there. The wait is never long, and since I am one to get to appointments early, I am used to waiting much longer periods for medical visits.When I go back to the examination room, it’s so pleasant. The office in general & the exam rooms in particular are kept spotless! Dr. Whitmer always takes the time to explain what she’s going to be doing. So helpful for anyone who has a fear of dentists. Brooke, Dr. Whitmer’s assistant , is always there with her sweet smile & calm demeanor. There is always a joke or two to be had before your mouth is incapacitated for conversation!!

I had avoided going to a dentist for at least 5 years and was dreading going, but I feel so lucky to have found such a great dentist and comfortable office! I will absolutely recommend Dr. Whitmer to everyone! Also, no problem getting a breakdown of charges, very reasonable charges, and she would never recommend anything that isn’t needed so no “selling” you on some procedure you don’t need!
She is also great at explaining everything that is being done and invites questions! If you are looking to change dentist or need one, you would be silly to go to anyone else. By-the-way, there is plenty of parking, which makes life easy!

Dr. Whitmer is the most thorough dentist I have ever visited. She does a complete survey of both my dental and physical health at each visit. In the past when I’ve seen dentists for the first time, they proceeded to tell me how many cavities needed to be filled immediately, and were’t willing to ‘wait and see’ if it was truly needed (or if I was going to remain a patient). Dr. Whitmer did not do this to me. She’s willing to collaborate with me to determine when a procedure needs to be done. The office is remodeled and very clean. The staff never makes me feel like they are just trying to get me out the door. I have always been seen at my appointed time. My family of five all see Dr. Whitmer, and we are very happy that we’ve found her!

I never thought I would actually say this, but going to Dr. Whitmer is a pleasure. She did everything on my initial visit so that she was well acquainted with my teeth. She is honest, she not only told me what she thought needed work, she showed me. It was my decision. And during the procedure she let me know what she was doing and was so encouraging… like a personal trainer saying “you’re doing great”, “I’m almost done”, etc. I had no pain at all and recovered by that evening enough to celebrate my birthday. My jaw wasn’t sore all week from being stretched either. She is truly a gentle but brilliant dentist and I now recommend her to everyone.

Everything was explained to me before Dr. Whitmer started working on my teeth and she checked in with me often to make sure I was comfortable and took breaks when I needed to swallow or rest my jaw. She took extra care at the end to make sure my bite was normal and that everything felt the same as it had before – no sharp edges, roughness, etc. And you can’t even tell that I have fillings in those teeth now! From start to finish the warmth, care and expertise of Dr. Whitmer permeated my experience… and I typically am on my guard when it comes to Dentists.
Since it was my first time with her, she did my initial exam AND my teeth cleaning! I’ve never ever had a Dentist do those things but she said she does it so she knows her clients situations for herself and can also get to know them as people and not just a number.

Dr. Whitmer did a fantastic job on my filling. The process began with probably the least painful and quickest numbing experience I have ever had. She explained every step and gave me a few breaks to rest my jaw during the process. While doing my filling, Dr. Whitmer went above and beyond by addressing roughness on an adjoining tooth’s filling — I don’t believe my prior dentist would have taken this extra step. There were no surprises when it came to paying the bill at the end of the visit. Dr. Whitmer even went out of her way to call in the evening to confirm I had no pain or issues with the filling.

She and her staff explain every step of the process.I would have no hesitation to recommend Dr. Whitmer based upon the experience I have had so far. Her staff also prefers to bill the insurance to determine payment, whereas my past dental office always billed what they believed to be their portion before they even confirmed with my insurance. I prefer Dr. Whitmer’s approach. There was no mystery when I left the office as to how much my next visit for one filling would cost, whereas, it was always a mystery with my prior office, where I had to cross my fingers in hopes of a reasonable price after the procedure was performed.

My first visit at Dr Whitmer’s office was like destiny. I was driving by what I thought was my old dentist’s office only to find out he was no longer there. I decided to go in to see if I could make an appointment for a cleaning. I was greeted so warmly by everyone.
Dr Whitmer came out to meet me and it just so happened that she was able to see me right then. In about an hour, I had a full check up that included, having my blood pressure checked, X-Rays and a cleaning. All I can say is, “WOW!”Thanks Dr Whitmer and staff! I had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The whole process was a smooth operation, starting with appointment setting, to exam and procedures, and follow-up. The staff was warm, good energy and vibes, but make no mistake, they are super-efficient. Dr. Whitmer knew her stuff, took extra time on the new patient visit. Reminds me of the old school style where doctors were part of the family, they really knew you and cared about you. You can tell that’s the kind of practice that Dr. Whitmer already has and it’s what is already setting her apart from the rest.

I am very happy to say that I have finally found a dentist I really like! I have been to several other dentists but they always failed to meet all of my requirements for long term dental care. I do not like at all to go to the dentist but knew I was way over due for an exam. My wonderful friend referred me to go see Dr.Whitmerl because she was so gentle. I finally made the appointment and was VERY NERVOUS when I went. Dr.Whitmerl and her staff were so AMAZING!!! The best experience I’ve ever had!!! My family has found a new dentist office!! I have now been twice and will continue to see her!!!

I would like to go to Dr. Whitmer as long as I possibly can. She really is an amazing doctor! I had a crown and two fillings done on the same day, the last time I was in, and I’ve never had such better care. Dr. Whitmer explains everything that she’s doing, and why she’s doing it, then along the way, asks how you’re feeling, and is willing to take as much time to make sure the patient feels both comfortable in their mouths and confident that she is doing a thorough job. Her work is fabulous and she does all she can to make sure you feel that way when you leave the office. We couldn’t have found a more friendly, personal, and thorough doctor! 🙂
